There have been many a time where I am confronted about my artwork. Where do I get the ideas for them? What technique did I use for such-and-such? And most frequently, why is it so strange? All fair questions considering the type of work I produce; so allow me to exfoliate in a somewhat chronological order. I am heavily influenced by two things: Music, specifically the Beatles (as if that’s not obvious already), and my all too extensive imagination. To be honest, I really have no idea how I come up with some of my ideas, most of which are not executed as originally planned. As for my techniques, I have a simple answer: I don’t have any. Each one of my projects is an experiment and I usually end up throwing all premeditated ideas out the window, improvising as I go. In case you are wondering; no, I do not sketch out my ideas 80% of the time; and yes, this makes me extremely nervous. Now on account of my artwork’s eccentricity, I have very little to say. These images you see before you are my brainchildren and while half of them contain some sort of deeper meaning, the other half mean absolutely nothing. For example, Helter Skelter was drawn in a purely random and non-methodical fashion and is intended to make no sense at all; in fact, I keep a small joke about it in which I tell anyone attempting to understand the picture that “the secret is in the flying toast.” In other words, I enjoy messing with your mind immensely. Finally, I have this small disclaimer to make: I am quite aware that plenty of my art is very controversial. However, if you do not like it, ces't la vie. I have no intentions of offending anyone and my art is strictly surrealism (I'm aware that makes little to zero sense at all). So enjoy it! It would be a pity for you not to.

AP Suckage

Alright, so if you're in high school like me, you know that this week is officially Hell Week. That's right... AP Exams have rolled around the corner once again in the the form of a gigantic tank; and I swear to all things sacred, if you don't get out of the way not only will it cap your arse with about 300 rounds per second, but it will then proceed by crushing your pathetic pulp of a corpse with its gigantic treads... over and over again until the wrath of the College Board gods is satisfied.

I guess I don't have too much to worry about, considering I only have two AP classes to deal with. In fact, I feel kind of bad for people who have 3+. But honestly? They were asking for it. Stupid smart people. (Hey! That was a paradox!) Anyway, like I said before I have two AP classes: AP English Literature and AP Studio Art. (By the way, if you don't know what AP means, it stands for 'Advanced Placement.' It's a step above Gate and Honors classes, if you will.) I have no hope whatsoever for my English exam, so I'm not going to stress an awful lot about that one... Although I do have a paper for that class that was technically due today. Oops.

On the other hand, I really want to get a good score on my Art portfolio. However, I'm flipping out about two things... The first is completely my fault because I procrastinate worse than just about anyone. I have two paintings that I need to finish by thursday. Sounds doable, yeah? Well, when I don't know what the heck I'm going to even paint, it's not. So wish me luck on that factor. The second is that I'm worried I'll get a bad score because the AP judges (or whatever they call them) are probably seasoned artists whose noses are so high in the air, they could probably smell Jesus. I mean, you've seen my art. I'm a surrealist painter. What the heck are they going to think when they see the things that have come out of my head?
